Inactivation of Cryptosporidium parvum Oocysts and Other Waterborne Microbes by Oxidants Generated Electrochemically From Sodium Chloride From Portable Pen and Bench Scale Systems
Conference Proceeding by American Water Works Association, 01/01/2000

Document Format: PDF

Description

This paper describes the results of a study conducted to determine themicrobial inactivation of the chlorine-resistant protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum and other test microbes by mixed oxidants generated from two electrochemical cells quite different in their size. One cell is in the form of a small “pen” intended to disinfect personal drinking water supplies and the other is a larger, bench-scale unit used as a model for systems made to disinfect municipal drinking water supplies. Includes 10 references, tables, figures.
